First of all, thanks to everyone for participating this season. It has been a lot of fun for me and I hope it has been for you. I hope that all played this year are interested in playing next year.

Week 14 was full of possibilities for more than half of the league. A testament to parity in the league was the fact that only one team finished below .500.

Bozo Bruisers had an opportunity to slip into a 3rd place slot with a victory over Larry's Losers. The Losers have been beaten by margins of 2 points in three games this season and going into the Monday night game they were in that familiar place again, trailing by two points. As they have all season, Jacksonville's D/ST came through and pushed Larry's Losers past Bozo Bruisers, 47-45.

Ottoman's Empire had an outside shot at finishing in the money, but they had to beat Los Federales AND score a lot of points. They got the first part of that done as Stephen Davis proved to be the difference in the game with 15 points as they defeated Los Federales, 45-30. Unfortunately, Ottoman's Empire did not get enough points to push them into a 3rd place position.

After losing the top spot a few times this season, Hungover Lame-Os controlled their own destiny (as much as a fantasy team CAN have control). Freshman Fantasies #19 had other ideas. In the highest scoring game of the week, Hungover Lame-Os had their championship hopes dashed as they went down to another defeat, their fourth in seven weeks, 75-69.

So that left Hammertime and Jolene's Arran Boys to decide the OFFL Championship. Hammertime featured a team lead by RBs Edgerrin James and Charlie Garner and QB Kurt Warner. These three combined for over half of Hammertime's points in Week 14. Jolene's Arran Boys' big point getter over the past few weeks has been the St Louis D/ST, and they didn't disappoint with an 18-point performance against Hammertime. In a close contest decided by a touchdown, Hammertime defeated the Arran Boys, 57-51, to capture the 1999 OFFL Championship.

Congrats to Marsha and her Hammertime!

Congratulations goes out to Larry's Losers as well because their Jacksonville D/ST captured the MVP title. Final standings are on the above link
